[Note to clients] UPDATE: Coronavirus response - all coaching sessions now online

21 March 2020

Dear Wellington-based clients,

Further to my last message to you on Friday (20 March), the situation has now changed regarding the Government’s recommended response to the Coronavirus crisis.

The Prime Minister today announced that we are now in COVID-19 Alert Level 2. This means that, in an effort to slow down the spread of the disease, employers are asked to implement alternative ways of working, if possible, such as working remotely.

Because I do have an alternative way of working with clients (through virtual coaching sessions), I have decided to support the cause and work remotely from now until further notice. I expect many of you will also be working remotely, so this may well suit you.

I realise, though, some of you may have preferred face to face sessions, so I apologise that I am now not offering that option. However, I feel this is the right thing to do under the circumstances. The more we each do to minimise contact, the more likely we are as a country to ‘flatten the curve’ and ensure the health system will be able to cope as more people become sick with the virus.

I will email you each individually prior to your sessions with any preparation required in order to have the sessions online, and to discuss your preferred online platform.

In the meantime, look after yourselves. The best source for keeping safe and informed is the Government's Covid-19 website. For information on how to look after your mental health and wellbeing during the pandemic, see the Mental Health Foundation website.

Stay well.

Warm wishes,

Lucy
